Throughout the month of November, I was able to complete my service through my volunteer position at Oschner and by making Christmas cards for the elderly. I was placed on a different floor this week and helped patients with their basic necessities like bringing them water and assisting on discharge paperwork. I was very excited to be able to explore the hospital a little more and extend my service to even more patients. Delving into my Christmas cards, they are part of a class service project and I am able to use some of my creative skills to make nursing home residents' days. I decided to put a little extra work into them and have custom holiday drawings on each card. As far as coursework goes, we mainly focused on the renal and pulmonary system this month. I found myself struggling much less for this module compared to the others, which has served as great motivation.
